ProxyDownloader is a free and powerful web/server-based proxy for all your HTTP and FTP downloads. This is a first of its kind script. Basically you enter the URL of a file you want to download, the file is downloaded by the server and sent to you, making the source thinks that the server is the one downloading the file instead. This results in anonymity online while downloading files. Another possibility is enhanced downloading speed, this is solely based on connection rates at different times in the world, also locations matter too. Typically you will get better download speed if the source is sending the file to you at a very slow rate. ProxyDownloader does not send you the file only after receiving it completely, it works based on cache, meaning to say for every 1 KB it received from the source, it sends you that 1 KB, and this goes on until your download is complete, therefore there is no waiting time for your download to start.
